    The Bald Eagles

    4:00pm – 5:30pm

Playing the music they love. Forming in 1967 in the Los Angeles suburb of Eagle Rock, the group found the driving beat of early Rock and Roll an undeniable addiction. Originally named, “The Travel Agents”, the group was playing numerous High school dances and “battle of the bands” competitions in Northern Los Angeles County. At the bands zenith members played the Hollywood Palladium, Whisky a-Go-Go, The Troubadour, and a number of other L.A. hot spots.  Today, “The Bald Eagles” cover what they consider the greatest rock music of all time, from classic hits to the hidden deep track treasures of the late 60s and early 70’s. Come and enjoy the heavy sounds of these “old birds” recreating tracks from the “Stones”, “Doors”, Beatles and more…

They have now joined forcese doing what they have always wanted to do: play blues and write their own music. Mike Blackman is a phenomenal guitarist and vocalist – a cat that can bring his guitar to life. M.D. Stokes, better known as “Stokers” can blow a harmonica and keep it swinging. Paul Estrup’s drumming never missing a beat – after all, Chester Thompson was his mentor. The bass player, Mike Hess, sets the groove, holds the bottom and has powerful passionate vocals.
